Rain at 7 a.m. Tuesday was .25. All of us were hoping for more ram, but we will take what we can get. The sun came out Tuesday morning for another fine day. Many schools in Western North Carolina were closed Tuesday due to snow. Hendersonville police officer Dennie Enevold died Monday night from a gunshot wound he received early Sunday. Charged with murder was Eldred Leon Hill of Brevard. President Reagan signed a revised emergency money bill late Monday that Congress rushed to him 10 hours after he voted its forerunner and shut down much of the government. For the next three weeks the federal spending will continue at the old level and then the budget issue will have to be faced all over again. Tuesday's Spartanburg Herald has a .picture of Highway Patrolman Reggie Gosnell of Campobello who was named the South Carolina Highway Patrolman of the Year. He is stationed in Rock Hill. S. C. Fires The Tryon Volunteer Fire Department was called to two fires Monday. At 5:30 p.m thev were called to a grass fire on Mimosa Lane and at 7:45 p m to fire at ^ home of Bill Willis in Pacolet Valley. There was some smoke damage to the WEDNESDAY, NOV. 25,1981 Engaged Miss Kathy Case Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Case of Saluda have announced the engagement of their daughter, Kathy, to Kenneth Ray Page, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Page of Landrum, S. C. Miss Case is a graduate of East Henderson High School and is employed at Ridge View Truck Plaza in Saluda. Mr Page is employed at American Hoechst at Greer, S. C. The wedding is planned for November 26th at 7 p.m. at the Southside Baptist Church in Landrum. All friends and relatives are invited. Closed Thurs. & Fri. The Chase boys rallied in the fourth quarter to edge Polk Central 70-63 Bernilious McDowell scored 16 of his 30 points in the 4th period as the Trojans overcame a 46-13 Polk Central lead. For Polk Central Patrick Hines had 24 points and Fred Hines 15. Tawana Rickman led the Polk Central girls to their win with 21 points. GIRLS GAME CHASE (31) - Motsinger 1, Tate. Camp 5, Dewberry 2.
